Please help me support Capital Cup for Kids by contributing to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Capital Cup for Kids' great work.

Meet our Honorary Captain – Cole.

A note from Mom:

My water broke with Cole at 24 weeks, he was delivered at 28 weeks. Brought into this world at 3lbs 2oz and spending his first 2 1/2 months at Albany Med NICU, Cole was finally able to come home. Today he is a thriving 3-year-old, with the best laugh and smile. He loves to play, climb, and eat just about anything. We are all very thankful to have him healthy and home.
“I was in the hospital for four weeks prior to Cole being born. Money was very tight, with just my husband working and taking care of our 10-month-old at home. I was receiving disability, but it wasn’t enough to even cover a small bill. At two weeks post-partum I made the choice to go back to work. The world just doesn’t stop because your family is facing a traumatic event. Seeing that I was exhausted from running back and forth from home to work to the hospital to also having a 10-month-old, the Social worker at Albany Med told me about Building on Love. At first, I thought it was financial assistance from the state but as she continued to explain, and talking to Jeff I realized it was so much more than that. Building on Love understood the stress, hurt, and the hope of bringing our baby home. They came in and took over some of our expenses and most importantly took some stress away. Allowing me to be more present when I was with Cole. Jeff and his team continue to be a part of our lives even today.
Today you play a game you love. But to me and other NICU parents, you’re doing so much more than that. You’re giving hope and taking some of the stress away by helping raise money for this amazing foundation. I hope you have a great time out on the ice, and I thank you for playing for NICU babies, especially my Cole.”

2024 will mark the 15th edition of the Capital Cup for Kids, the premiere adult hockey fundraising event in Upstate, NY.

As it has been since our inception, the focus of the Capital Cup for Kids will be to raise funds and awareness for children battling a life-threating medical condition and their families in need in the Capital Region.

This year we will provide support to Building on Love who is managing the administrative and fiduciary responsibilities of presenting the event. Funds will also benefit Capital Cup for Kids, Inc. We will also be granting funds to Make A Wish of NENY and other local organizations. Your gift will do a lot of good!

The 2024 event will feature 400+ participants making up 24 teams competing in four divisions, all vying for their names on the Capital Cup as well as for the bragging rights as the tourney’s largest fundraiser.
